Front Flower Beds

Announcement: The board has plans over the next 3-4 years to redo the front flower beds to make them more uniform and look nicer. In the meantime, if you as an owner, would like to remove or add plants or flowers to your bed, you may, upon submitting an approval request with your plans and the types of plants and flowers you intend to use. Please note that you will also be responsible for weeding, pruning and caring for the area as long as it has your plants and flowers in it.

  • Log into your homeowner portal

What are the monthly dues? $120 monthly. Due on the 1st and late on the 30th.

Is there a transfer/set up fee when I sell my unit? Yes, there is a $350 Set Up Fee.

Is there a reinvestment fee when I sell my unit? Yes, the Reinvestment Fee is 0.5% of the purchase price.

What is included in my dues? Landscaping, snow removal, exterior maintenance, insurance on exterior and common areas.

What is the HOA Master Insurance Policy Deductible? $5,000.00

Did you know we have a GroupMe for Highland Estates? Stay connected with your neighbors, share updates, and stay informed about community events and news. To join the group, you can log into your owner portal and click “Home” to see the information about GroupMe and follow the link to join. Can I care for and plant in my front flower bed? If you as an owner, would like to remove or add plants or flowers to your bed, you may, upon submitting an approval request with your plans and the types of plants and flowers you intend to use. What day are the lawns mowed? The lawns are mowed every Tuesday weather permitting. Please make sure the grass of free of any items and animal feces.

Can I plant my own tree? You will need to submit an approval request to the board with what kind of tree you want to plant and where. If accepted you can purchase a tree and donate it to Highland Estates. Landscaper will plant the tree. Owner has to pay for the tree and the install of the tree. HOA will not be responsible for any damage the tree may cause or if it dies for any reason.

Can I remove grass in the back to create a flower bed or garden area? No, you may not remove any grass. If you wish for planting space you may do a garden bed or pots on your patio as long as it does not encroach onto the grass and effect mowing.

My mailbox needs new numbers. How do I get them? If your mailbox is in need of new numbers, please email service@northhoa.com or submit a maintenance request through your owner portal, and we will inform Bryan Daines from the board, who is handling this project.

Does the community have group communication? Yes, the community utilizes GroupMe. Please log into your portal or contact North HOA to get the link.
